Let’s be honest here, most couple’s worst nightmare is that it will rain on their wedding day (even if it is supposedly good luck). And unfortunately, October 3rd showed itself to be both full of rain and lower temperatures – not exactly what most would consider ideal outdoor reception conditions.
For us, at Bethel Bakery, the show must and will always go on – no matter the weather conditions. We put on our galoshes, opened our umbrellas, and maybe even jumped in a puddle or two before starting our day. Our fantastic delivery team waltzed in between the raindrops to ensure that each cake was delivered dry on the outside (and deliciously moist on the inside).
As Pittsburghers, we have come to expect that Mother Nature likes to throw us some curve balls once in awhile. We bleed black and gold through and through and wouldn’t trade it for anything else in the world. For one of our couples, Amanda and Justin, they wanted to show their love of Pittsburgh through their Wedding Cake (pictured below).
Thank you to Amanda and Justin for including us on their special day! We’re sorry that we couldn’t change the weather, but want you to know that your design reminded us just how much we love this city, including it’s crazy weather.
